of you. The meaning is the same as Mae. |
| 2. Toraissoku |
|
An opponent in front of you tries to cut your right leg (from
your right), but you parry hit cut and as he is falling backwards you cut
him down from Jodan |
| 3. Inazuma |
|
An opponent in front of you is about to attack you from
Jodan. However, you anticipate
his attack and before he can strike, you cut into both of his forearms.

| 4. Ukigumo |
|
Your opponent is the second person sitting to your right. He

|
This waza is about dealing with an opponent behind you, so the
meaning is the same as Ushiro |
| 9. Takiotoshi |
|
An opponent, who is behind you grabs your
kojiri from above, but you wrest it
from his grip, thrust your sword into his chest and as he is falling
backwards you cut him down. |
