This is my very hacky attempt at learning to read the Japanese
Hiragana and Katakana glyphs. I am sorry if you cannot see the applet
below, these pages follow the XHTML 1.1 standard, however the
implementation of the <object> tag is appauling. If anyone can
suggest a better one than below, please tell me.

This applet requires a JRE supporting the swing GUI set.
